A Very Special Christmas for The School in a Cart
Everyone at Lift the Lid is grateful (can’t say it enough!) for the tremendous support we have received throughout 2014 and right up to the end, making Christmas extra special for the street kids of The School in a Cart in Cubao, the Philippines.
Your donations enabled us to host a Christmas party for over 70 street children who did not otherwise have the means to celebrate the Season. There was food and singing and games, and each child received a goodie bag filled with snacks, chocolate, a sports outfit, underwear, and umbrellas for the girls and caps for the boys. Food and supply packages were given to the adults, as well.
How lucky are we to have these children in our lives! They show us what’s important in this world. They make us better people, and their smiles give us unexplainable joy. My personal goal for 2015 is to challenge myself to have an even greater impact on the children we champion through Lift the Lid. Please join me!
