Thank You! by Noel Naitetoi
Nine-year-old Noel Naitetoi of Namelok Junior Academy in Kisamis, Kenya expresses her gratitude for Lift the Lid’s First Annual Poetry Competition held at her school.
Noel is the proud First Place winner for her poem “What Lies Ahead.” For her reward, she received $50 to put toward personal school supplies and fees and $50 to give to her class. As she expresses in her Thank You letter (posted below), giving new books to her class made her very happy. She says she is writing poems every day now!

Noel, We love the new poem you sent us, “Education is Life,” and hope to post on our website and send it to a donor soon. How wonderful that you are inspired write more! Your skills and imagination will only grow stronger. Enjoy being creative and don’t be too hard on yourself. You have a lot of talent to explore as you get older!
