The Tailoring Shop is Nearly Done!

On December 28, 2013, Lift the Lid sent a combined donations of $575 to Mogonjet Secondary School in Kericho, Kenya.

We are making good progress on the tailoring shop at the school! Just this past June we sent $592.88 and all Mogonjet had was a pile of bricks outside of the administrative house. (See photos) Now, thanks to all of you who have donated, the structure is up and electricity will soon be connected.

The students and parents have suffered for many years, walking a long distance to purchase and be fitted for uniforms. The tailoring shop will assist them and the community, as well, and it will generate an income for the school.
