We're Making Progress...But a Few More Steps to Go! – March 2025

When Joash Bii, our partner on the ground at Keneni Stars Academy, said we needed a two-story 10-block construction that would provide classrooms for our upcoming middle school students, a library, and some office space, I told him I didn’t know how we could afford it. That was in 2022. We’re still making progress, and the end is in sight! Compare photos from when we started to where we are now. They show that when you put one foot in front of the other, you eventually get where you intended to go.

Please consider making a donation to help us complete this essential construction and give 234 boys and girls from the small village of Kechieyat, Kenya, the chance to complete their education through high school and even college. If we give them the path and the space, they will work hard, putting one foot in front of the other until they achieve their dream career.

Keneni Stars is a joyful, loving school that opened its doors to kindergarten and primary children in 2017 with Joash Bii at the helm. When Lift the Lid started in 2010, we supported Joash in attending university. He went on to earn his PhD and gave back to his community by opening Keneni Stars Academy! This is how the ripple effect of our work continues and goes far beyond what we can tally. Thank you!!!!
