Empowering Refugee Youth Through Technology

RefuTech Academy equips refugee high school graduates in Kakuma with computational thinking and software development skills – connecting them with mentors abroad to build tech-driven solutions and pathways into higher education and careers.

The Vision

1. Build a generation of refugee innovators and tech leaders
2. Turn community challenges into opportunities for change and growth

What RefuTech Offers

RefuTech Academy delivers end-to-end tech education – from computational thinking and programming in C and Python to modern web development with React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Students build real projects that address challenges in Kakuma, receive virtual mentorship from refugee scholars abroad, and gain career support including internship placement and stipends. Learning happens at RefuTech Hub with computer labs, Starlink internet, and collaborative workspace, alongside professional development in communication, teamwork, and AI literacy.
