Here’s how you Give & Receive – a secure and simple process:

  1. Choose a school, if you’d like, and note it in the comment section. You can make other comments here, as well.
  2. Make a secure donation by credit card, PayPal, Zelle, or check (offline payment).
  3. Option to make donation anonymous

Now for the fun part! We’ll email you a student’s poem, short essay, or thank you letter. We also share updates on our website and social media about the work we’re doing at the schools, thanks to your support.

While we cannot guarantee that everyone will be inspired by every essay or poem, we can guarantee that every work is written by a child from the schools we support – exploring his or her voice, taking the opportunity to say, This is me! Lift the Lid stands for more than improving writing and communication skills; we are a place for children who might feel left behind by the world to be heard.

You will receive a confirmation receipt for your donation via email from Lift the Lid. (Emails are kept strictly private and not shared with any outside lists.) 100% of donations go to our sponsored schools. Lift the Lid has a trusted representative at each school to oversee the transfer and spending of donations, to take photos, and to document the school’s progress.
