Congratulations, Happy Family Children’s Village, on completing Lift the Lid’s 6th Annual Writing Competition! All entrants submitted extremely well-written, organized essays, sharing a special object that represents more than meets the eye. All entrants received books, and the 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place winners each received two books. Please take a moment to read a few of the children’s essays.

Happy Family Children’s Village, unlike standard orphanages, provides temporary care while working to safely reunite children with their biological families, relatives, or foster parents. As part of Lift the Lid’s annual writing competition, we gave $500 toward the children’s education.
