The results of our 5th Annual Writing Competition at Keneni Stars are worth CELEBRATING!! We were honored to have two distinguished guests presenting the awards at our school ceremony: Honorary Patrick Maritim, the County Executive Committee Member for Education, Youth and Vocational Training, and Honorary Agnes Ngeno, from Roads, Public Works & Transport. Ms. Ngeno has been working with us and monitoring our three-story classroom construction, which you can see in some of the photos.
This year, author Connie Mann, a Lift the Lid supporter and volunteer, thoroughly read and commented on each student’s essay. Connie is from Florida, in the United States, and has taken a heartfelt interest in Lift the Lid’s work. Thank you, Connie!!

Our goal is to help our students improve and encourage them to keep expressing their thoughts in writing. Enjoy these special photos.
