Keneni Prepares to Open in The Pandemic

In order for schools in Kenya to be allowed to reopen in the pandemic, they need to meet certain safety precautions. With your help, we’ve purchased one (1) water tank of 5000 litres and set up three (3) handwashing stations at the gate for the students to wash their hands upon entering the school grounds. Students also have to have their temperature checked and be able to maintain social distancing.

A recent road construction demolished part of the boys latrines and urinal. Also through your support, we’ve renovated the latrines. See the before and after pics! The students were excited by these upgrades and thanked LTL and all of you with many Thank You letters! We’ve posted one here and will continue to post others.

Our next project is to construct two classrooms. We are not able to provide the one-meter space requirement for our Grade Two students and are looking into making two (2) timber classrooms in order to meet requirements. These classrooms will also require 30 desks. I understand the needs and scarcity of funds in schools worldwide and the real struggles we’re facing here in America, but if you’re able, any donation would be enormously appreciated.

Donations are always needed and appreciated:
