Gabriel and Gregory, twin brothers from Bomet, Kenya, are hardworking sophomores in high school, determined to make a better life for themselves, their siblings, and their community. Without our support, they would not be in school. They would not reach their goals, and their siblings and community would feel their hopelessness rather than share their hope.
Gabriel writes, “I want to become a teacher, especially in counseling. I want to help students who are going through hard times, like I am going through now. I want to tell them that challenges do not mean the end of life. Through education, I believe I can bring hope to others. I am grateful for the chance to be in school, and I promise to work hard and never give up.” Read the full essay here.
Gregory writes, “I dream of becoming a priest so that I can guide people morally and spiritually. I want to help people know God and live lives of love, honesty, and responsibility. I believe education is preparing me for this calling. I am thankful for the support that has allowed me to join secondary school, and I hope one day to serve others and give back to the community.” Read the full essay here.
