Give a Student a Desk for the New Year
Our 2nd Graders at Keneni Academy are getting a new classroom so that they can return to school this winter and maintain social distancing. That’s thanks to all of you who donated! Keneni is growing every year as our first class of students moves up and new students join. It’s exciting times!
Our current project is furnishing the new classroom and our current classrooms with sturdy desks. For just $12, you can give a child a desk where he or she can sit comfortably and work to his or her best ability. Already, to show their appreciation, the students have written essays on “Why They Like to Learn” and we’ve shared a few of them here. More photos and essays from the students will follow.
