Check out these winning essays from our 11th Annual Writing Competition at Mogonject Secondary School in Kericho, Kenya! Throughout the year, we share many more essays with our donors, which makes giving to Lift the Lid a special experience.

Our students have the drive and skills to face serious challenges in our world today. We couldn’t be more proud of them and feel assured knowing that there are kids who care about clean water, the environment, equality in education, and eradicating government corruption, among other serious issues. They will be our future leaders!

*Brenda writes about equitable access to quality education for all.

*Titus is brave to use this opportunity to self-reflect, writing about how he could improve himself.

*Nuriah tackles corruption in her essay.

*Diana addresses the need for clean water.

*PLEASE HELP US SUPPORT MORE CHILDREN WITH GOALS FOR IMPROVING OUR WORLD! 100% of all donations go to our schools and students. We show highly motivated, disadvantaged students that we believe in them, and we assist them in staying in school. You’ll find secure options for making a tax-deductible donation here, and we’ll send you a student’s essay. If you’re interested in sponsoring a student and starting a pen pal, we’re happy to make that happen! Send me an email at saragoff@saragoff.com. Thank you!
