MacMac is dressed for one of his biggest nights in high school…prom night! As he writes in his essay, it feels like a milestone. MacMac could’ve dropped out of school to beg on the jeepneys or to sell small items on the streets, but he stayed on the long road to earning his education when the work was hard and he felt the pressure to make money. We’ve supported and encouraged him since kindergarten, and how he’s soon to complete his Junior year! We’re so proud of his sense of commitment and determination.
Stephano is proud to wear his karate uniform for PE (gym class) and his Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) uniform…and we couldn’t be more PROUD of HIM for completing his first year of college, and now we’re covering the enrollment for his second year! Our kids at The School in a Cart in Cubao, the Philippines, give their best, and we make sure fees are met and they have the clothes and supplies they need. Equally important, we offer regular guidance for their emotional and spiritual health. They know that their voices are heard and that they matter!
*We need your help to keep many more young children off the streets and in school. Whatever you can give helps and 100% of every contribution goes to the children. We welcome individual donors, families, schools, camps, and classes, and if you’d like, we’d love to start a pen pal exchange! Letters, poems, artwork, photos…we can create a window for sharing the wonder of different cultures. Join us!
