Thoughts on School, by Julius Santiago
Julius Santiago is ten years old and is in the second grade at school. At his age he should be in the fourth grade, but he repeated grade one twice. Despite being held back, Julius is insistent on going to school. He and his younger half-brother and half-sister attend the School in a Cart in Cubao, the Philippines on weekends and when school is not in session.
Teachers Alfredo and Nonie at the School in a Cart help him with his lessons so that he will continue to advance to the next level at school. Thank you, Parm, for giving Julius this opportunity to share his thoughts about school.
