I’ll Keep Trying, by Daniella Farinas
Daniel Jr. and Daniella, and their buddy Steven (MacMac)
Many thanks to all our donors, those named and those who wish to remain anonymous. Your support shows how much you care, and every time you make a donation, the students know about it — one of their essays or poems is published here.
Today we have the work of Daniella Farinas. She’s written her thoughts on her participation in The Band in a Cart and her sometime wayward behavior, which she plans to improve!
Daniella’s translation;
“I stopped learning to play the guitar because I found it difficult to play. I was not concentrating well. I am glad Teacher Nonie encouraged me to sing instead even if sometimes I get out of tune.
Teacher Nonie often scolds me because I am very playful.
Thank you! Love from Daniella to Teacher and big brother (mentor) Nonie and Iddo (Alfredo).”
Daniella, I love reading your essays and poems because you write your honest thoughts and feelings, and you always want to learn, grow, and become a better person. That’s something I work toward, too!
You’ve published a lot with Lift the Lid over the past four years! Congratulations on your good work. Maybe one day you’ll become a writer!
Sara
Daniella, Thank you for your essays and poems! Writing honestly isn’t always easy. Keep learning, keep trying and keep writing.
